STREETSBORO, OHIO — November 11, 2009 — The Step2® Company is proud to announce that it has recently been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification from STR-Registrar, LLC an ANSI/ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) Accredited Certification Body for its plant and office locations in Streetsboro and Perrysville, Ohio and their plant in Fort Valley, Ga. ISO certification, the globally recognized quality management system standard, verifies that Step2′s processes and procedures consistently meet the highest measure for delivering quality products, services and support to its customers.
Step2, based in Streetsboro, Ohio, is the largest American manufacturer of preschool and toddler toys and the world’s largest rotational molder of children’s and home products, including children’s play kitchens, playhouses, outdoor toys and ride on toys, as well as home products such as mailboxes, outdoor furniture and trash cans.

ISO 9001 certification is a quality management standard that is recognized throughout the world by a set of requirements that businesses can follow in order to achieve consistently high level of quality in their products, services and general manner in which they operate. This certification assures that The Step2 Company products are designed, manufactured, tested and shipped by a documented system that meets the rigorous requirements of ISO 9001.
To earn ISO certification, companies contract with a registrar for three years to audit and confirm they are focused on meeting customer requirements, by measuring themselves for continual improvement, effective internal communications, effective training, effective process control, and especially, effective customer satisfaction.
